The first role of enamel is to protect hot water tanks, steel sleeves (in Steatite technology...) or other elements of DHW appliances from scale deposits and rust.
A low quality tank has much higher risk to corrode and to malfunction. In that respect, to obtain the ideal thickness of enamel is very important too. Indeed, if the thickness is too thin, the corrosion will occur by dilution of enamel. If it is too important, the corrosion will occur by cracking of enamel.

A user-friendly technology
The calcium deposit or so called limestone is good to your water heater... but in very limited quality.
Over time, from soft or hard the water tends to return to balanced type, by rejecting the particles it contains in excess.
In case of soft-aggressive water, the aggressive particles in excess, attack the metal tank trough the natural microscopic cracks of the enameling. In time this leads to a tank leak.
Analogically, in case of hard water, the protective particles in excess accumulate on the tank walls and form a protective film. Despite its bad image, in limited quantity the limestone protects the water tank from corrosion.
The Steatite heating element is protected by enameled steel sleeve. This is granting a large heat exchange surface, which reduces heating noise. Its replacement does not require the water heater to be drained down for maintenance, a genuine bonus for an easy maintenance.

Our patented ACI Hybrid technology is the ultimate generation of electronic anti-corrosion tank protection for your DHW production appliance.
It is fitted with a state-of-the-art titanium/magnesium anodes system. Located at the center of the appliance, the titanium anode is driven by an electronic PCB that produces a milivoltage electric current. It provides the tank with an extended lifetime protection, replacing the magnesium anode.

How does it work?
Heat pump water heating systems are solutions where the domestic hot water is heated by an integrated heat pump
The heat pump water heater uses the operational principle of a heat pump, by absorbing calories in outdoor air and using this energy to ensure water heating. The fan (1) inhales ambient air transferring its energy to the refrigerant agent in the evaporator (2) thus changing from liquid to gas. The gas is further heated by compression (3). In the condenser (4) the gas transfers its accumulated heat to the water tank. As it gets colder it transforms back to fluid. The pressure of the fluid is further reduced by the expansion valve (5). The electric back-up heating (6) starts only when required during insufficient heat pump working conditions.
